But over the holidays, it may have been working a little harder, so here's a simple way to love your liver as we head into the new year.
The three best foods for your liver are lemon, ginger and turmeric, and a combination of these even better. If you don't like the taste of one especially, you can get results using one or two.
The easiest option is lemon and ginger pre-made herbal tea, and this is a good, practical choice. For best results enjoy first thing in the morning before any food or tea and coffee.
If you want even better results, then real fresh foods or supplements take a little more time to prepare, but are definitely worth it.
Use a teaspoon of fresh grated turmeric root and the same of ginger root, add some freshly squeezed lemon, and warm on the oven. Or add hot (not boiling) water and simply steep.
